November 20-21, 2020 Retreat on the Transforming Power of Prayer
Without a deep and solid foundation, any edifice will be unstable or even collapse. In these spiritual conferences and sermons preached during a brief men’s retreat, some of the foundations of authentic Catholic spirituality and morality are explained. An additional series of conferences will be made available to explore more thoroughly the intellectual, moral, and spiritual principles and practices that all Catholics need to know and live if they are to keep the Faith in the modern secular culture and bear lasting fruit that endures not only in this world but also for Eternity.

Strictly observing religious poverty and so living in dependence on the material support of the lay faithful, the sacrifice of our consecrated religious lives cannot exist without your sacrifice of charitable alms and tithing. The Hermits of Our Lady of Mount Carmel are spiritually rich but materially poor. God is raising up many vocations to our community and we greatly need to build our Novitiate Monastery in Fairfield to be able to train dozens of religious brothers and priests to serve elsewhere in the country in our other foundations.
